I first abalone shells used in resin in a video on Daniel Cooper's channel - video here: • #157. Incredible RESIN ART Jewelry - You N...
After seeing Claire at Claire's Crafty Corner trying it out, I realised the shell fragments were from a kit designed for nail art, so I ordered some and I use them for the first time in this video. The results are absolutely STUNNING!
I prefer to work from the front down in my pendant mould because I'm not the best at top coating with UV resin so I used regular one to one epoxy resin and cured the first layer overnight before adding the background coat.
Materials used:
JDiction one to one epoxy resin
Abalone shells - I used a set like these: https://tinyurl.com/5dbekpp8
Mica powder in silver white and pale pink
Vista liquid pigment in black and white
Assorted silver pinch bails from Amazon
The pendant mould is this one: https://tinyurl.com/4bncf75m
Hope you enjoyed the video. Bye for now!
