The Big Food Drive's First Community Garden

In April 2020, we launched The Big Food Drive, a fresh produce distribution network that provided over 100,000 meals to communities in need desperately affected by COVID-19 lockdowns.

Today we're back with the next phase in our mission - the launch of the first of our fresh fruit and vegetables gardens built for communities in need, feeding their residents, and tended to by the communities themselves.

Essentially, we are taking what we achieved with The Big Food Drive and scaling it so that it's self-sustaining for the communities we support.

This garden is built at Bhongolethu School and feeds over 200 children daily
