Paramakudi is a first grade Municipality and Taluk headquarters in Ramanthapuram District. It is a biggest City in Ramanathapuram District in terms of Population and 2nd biggest Town in terms of Area only after Ramanathapuram and located on Madurai - Rameshwaram NH 87.
Paramakudi Municipality Bustand is located in Centre of Town and buses are being operated to various towns, Cities and villages by TNSTC (Kum) Paramakudi Depot and also buses frequently available to Madurai, Ramanathapuram, Rameshwaram, Virudhunagar and Karaikudi. Paramakudi bus stand local and inter-district bus transports across the districts of Ramanathapuram, Sivaganga, Madurai and Viruthunagar. Every five minutes, a bus will go to Madurai.
