Scenic late winter approach into Tromsø airport (4K)

As the winter of 2016/2017 draws to a close, Northern Norway experiences an unusual amount of snow cover for this time of year. April and early May is the peak ski touring season in the north, with long hours of daylight and often benign weather conditions.
This is the runway 01 approach to Tromsø Airport, Langes, as seen from seat 10A of SAS flight SK4558 from Trondheim. The aircraft of the day (April 21, 2017) was LN-RPF, an 18 year old Boeing 737-600.
At the beginning we see the northern peaks of Senja in the distance. Senja is the second largest island on the Norwegian mainland. We then pass to the east of Malangen, with the spectacular white peaks of Klemmartindan, Durmålstinden and Middagstinden. After crossing the main shipping strait of Straumsfjorden we glide past the island of Kvaløya before landing smoothly at Tromsø airport.
