In this video, I'll show you how to breathe new life into an old piece of metal by making a useful tool from a broken and worn ax.
A drawknife is a traditional hand tool which shapes wood by removing shavings. It is a slightly curved blade with handles on both ends and it’s pulled or drawn to the user, which is why it’s called a drawknife.
A drawknife is an outstanding tool for carving, debarking, and shaping wood.
For me it is a long-awaited and now irreplaceable tool for making ax handles.
