In this video, I compare the Conservative Party and Liberal Party platforms on tackling immigration. Mark Carney promises to cap the number of temporary immigrants coming to Canada at less than 5% of the population – that figure would be just over 2 million. Carney promises to cap the permanent residency intake to less than 1% of the Canadian population annually – that figure would be 410,000. Pierre Poilievre has promised to cap Canada's permanent residency intake numbers at roughly 200-250k per year.
