I began this game with the understanding that this was a detective game sorta like Sara is Missing where you have to investigate a bunch of phones and computers to find out who Lila is, and that the clues you'd follow would lead you to different endings. I was very wrong. Instead, this was the most potent and unexpected use of cosmic horror I think I've ever seen. The face mechanic is cool and all, but what I felt was way more effective than controlling expressions was the fact that you are constantly made to make eye-contact with the characters in this game. My thoughts are still scattered, I only just finished playing yesterday.

Also, I'm sorry that this ended up being a weird playthrough; it's a weird game. I think you get out of this one what you put into it and I'm afraid I put far too much in—by the halfway point I began to feel strangely unwell. So many things about this game made me feel dizzy and sad in a way I can't explain. It was fun and interesting while I was playing it but whenever I wasn't playing the music wouldn't go away. By the end of the last recording I was satisfied with where I ended things. It did not feel right to play any further, especially with a walkthrough.

I'd prefer to avoid spoilers on this game, too, so please don't go telling me about what I missed.
