Rematch Session 8: Turns 23 - 24 (May 22 - May 23, 1863)
Having completed all of the Basic Game scenarios for Thunder on the Mississippi, and with the continued encouragement of our viewers, we now embark on another Advanced Game! This is our fifth attempt at capturing a campaign format playing against each other, so we hope you enjoy the narrative.
For this second campaign game play, Roger will play the Union (USA), and Patrick will play the Confederates. (CSA)
Scenario #12: The Vicksburg Campaign:
This scenario simulates Grant's 1863 early summer offensive, from crossing the Mississippi River at Bruinsburg, the attempt to capture the rail hub at Jackson, and on to the siege of Vicksburg.
GAME LENGTH: Up to 70 turns, April 30 to July 8, 1863.
