The Rollei 35 AF: Love at First Shot, Heartbreak by the Third

After seven months of waiting, my Rollei 35 AF finally arrived—and it was beautiful. A loving tribute to the original Rollei 35, with a clean design and thoughtful modern touches. I went out shooting right away… but by frame three, the camera started to fail.

This isn’t a review or a recommendation—just a story. I share the excitement of finally getting the camera, the double exposures that started early, and how the film advance mechanism jammed by the end of the first roll. I also talk about what the camera gets right, and why I still hope MiNT will replace it—because I want this camera to work.

UPDATE: 23-April, MiNT responded to my email and I shared the video with them and they said to send it right back to them, and they provided the link for me to start the RMA process. Let's see how this goes!
