Exploring an Abandoned mall that closed in 2008

Today, we're exploring an abandoned mall stuck in the 80s. Originally constructed in the late 60s but wasn't ready until 1970, the mall had Jcpenney ( Penney's at the time) and Montgomery Fair department store. The Montgomery Fair was quickly rebranded as Gayfers after opening. A major expansion occurred in 1987/1988 due to competition from a nearby mall. This expansion added a mall wing, the food court, Parisian anchor store, and the clock at the center court. Decline happened in the 2000s, starting with national chains leaving the mall. Both Jcpenney and Dillard's ( acquired Gayfers) left in 2005.
Steve and Barry's moved into the Dillard's space later in the same year. Parisian closed in 2006. The mall closed down in 2008 along with the Steve and Barry's. The 3 anchors spaces were redeveloped into a high school, an academy, and a police station.
Today, the mall sits in extraordinary decay. With everything left behind and with many retro and unique stores, you could explore this mall for hours. The food court is probably the most awesome food court I've seen with my own eyes. There is little being done to secure the property as there are several ways in. There is no word on the fate of this property.
2 things to keep in mind while watching this video
1. This is a compilation from 2 visits. The first visit was solo, while the 2nd visit was with 2 others.
2. I was super tired both times. I was basically running on fumes.
