China’s relative economic strength, combined with Donald Trump's tariff policies and threats to invade Greenland, are making China more attractive for countries seeking non-US trade options, such as Canada, Germany and Britain. Alicia Garcia Herrero, chief Asia-Pacific economist at the French bank Natixis, who warns that a flood of Chinese exports into Europe could destroy the industrial base.
