My Trash Collections Nov-Dec 2025

Happy New Year!! 2025 was definitely an interesting year,. A big thanks to the drivers featured over this past year. Hopefully 2026 will be a little more normal. Sadly, I'm not expecting anything older than a 520 next year. All of our ACX Curottos time is very limited. Chula Vista yard got about 10 new Volterras which will be assigned to all of the Recycle drivers in January 2026 and some of the trash drivers who still have Curottos. It is bittersweet since the 2011 and 2012 ACX Curottos were the trucks I grew up on, however they are well past their prime and the drivers of those trucks deserver new trucks at this point.

Many filmers don't like the Electric trucks but I see the bright side. The new vehicles are much safer, with more safety equipment on board, better cameras including backup cameras, increased visibility and a clearer view of surroundings. And the best part is, 4:so far, they are all FAST!! The arms on the ZSL's whip lids and basically freefall. Like it or not, the electric trucks are the future of our industry, with new and improved electric technology trucks being produced, and it is better to embrace these changes rather than denying it or continuing to hate.

These two months turned out with a lot of different spares, since my greens driver does not have an assigned truck and trash has been using different 520's while another driver has been in 2293. 2282 was assigned in replacement of 2289 since it is not a low entry unit (more convenient and comfortable). No route changes this time and I'm not expecting any in the near future.
Lastly Mando is back! After exactly one year of many different trucks and drivers he has returned. The first clip in this video was recorded on his very first day back.
I figured to do this year's videos a little bit differently since there were so many spares and new bins in my collection, I didn't want to wait until the end of the year to release my collections videos. However, Next year's collections videos will be released at the end of the year rather than a few videos throughout the year.
