Born and raised in Australia, Paul McIntyre’s journey began with the external martial arts — Muay Thai, Aiki-jujutsu, and Natural Fist Boxing. But over time, his pursuit of physical mastery evolved into a deeper exploration: one that bridged strength with stillness and body with mind.
This shift led him to the internal arts and ultimately to Heaven Man Earth Internal Arts, a system founded by Sifu Adam Mizner dedicated to authentic Tai Chi Chuan, Neigong, and Chigong. Today, Paul is a Senior Instructor in that lineage.
In this conversation, we dive into the world of Tai Chi Chuan — exploring its mind-body benefits, how to choose the right teacher, common misconceptions, and why true progress is as much about refining character as it is about mastering form.

ABOUT THE HOST
Emaad Akhtar
Born and raised in Singapore, I’ve always been intrigued by the great mystery of life — drawn to explore what lies beneath the surface of everyday existence.
In late 2022, after an emotionally challenging breakup, that desire for deeper meaning and true fulfilment intensified. A spontaneous decision led me to a meditation retreat in Phuket, Thailand — and it turned out to be life-changing.
I came to realise that the answers we often seek outside ourselves actually lie within. This realisation has shifted how I see myself, others, and the world around me — and continues to shape my journey today.
ABOUT THE SHOW
Welcome to the Mind Over Chatter podcast.
Modern life — especially in fast-paced urban settings — can be overwhelming, often leaving little time for meaningful self-reflection.
This constant stimulation can lead to confusion, burnout, illness, and a sense of disconnection.
Join me as I explore the messy, yet inspiring world of personal transformation — speaking with working professionals and wellbeing practitioners who have overcome setbacks by stepping outside their comfort zones.
Through restorative practices, they’ve discovered resilience, clarity, and a more grounded, purpose-filled way of living.
Think of each episode as a masterclass in authenticity, courage, and practical wisdom.
