On 3rd September 2024, 4 of us set out for our first European motorcycle trip to Normandy France to see the sites of the D-Day landings in June 1944. It was a 4 day trip and we camped in Bayeux.
In preparation for the tour I watched many other YouTube motorcycle tour videos and lots of WW2 history videos so I had some idea where to go and what to see. We didn't get to see everything planned, mainly to the poor weather on day 3.
As well as ideas to visit hopefully our experience may help others planning to visit explaining how the euro tunnel works with motorbikes, how the French toll roads operate and the likely cost of a trip to France.
The footage was recorded on a Maxto M3 helmet camera and @innovvuk3418 K7 front and rear dash-cams. They are not action cams so please don't expect that sort of audio and video quality.
Navigation was via Google maps and Carpuride W702 android auto. Even in the horrendous rain it still performed perfectly.
