Apple just released a new version of their compatibility-tool "Game Porting toolkit" so I added the files to the translation-application "CrossOver" which is being used to play windows-games on Mac.
Playing Cyberpunk on a M4 Pro (max configuration of a M4 Pro Mac mini at the moment)
Using CrossOver, manually updated with Game Porting Toolkit 3.1 Beta.
I followed Andrew Tsai’s updated file-replacement steps shown after his livestream.

The latest version of Apple’s Metal now supports FSR 3 Frame Generation, which really boosts performance. FSR upscaling already worked in GPTK 2.0, but it’s noticeable better now. Performance and optimisation are impressive – this gives us a solid glimpse of what a native Apple Silicon version of Cyberpunk could look like, if CD Projekt ever decides to finish the game... again.
Update (8 hours after uploading):
After installing MacOS Tahoe (Developer Beta) and making some cross-testing:
The noticeable inconsistency in the picture (feels uneven) hints that 30 - 40 fps are being pushed to 60 - 75. Without screen recording, I´m getting very solid 80+ fps which also fixes the mentioned screen tearing issue. The impact of screen-recording on the performance has gotten bigger on MacOS Tahoe so I am not uploading new footage rn. The result is the same, it´s now only harder to show it. Overall ... this is impressive and I´m very optimistically about the "Cyberpunk 2077 Mac Version"...if it should ever release.
Opinion about WWDC 2025:
For me, this was the only meaningful announcement from yesterday’s WWDC 25 (Apple’s software conference). Gaming is not being expanded very much. At least we get regular upgrades. The "Games App" on iOS or iPadOS isn't worth talking about. Assassins Creed Shadows has been shown, although it´s still in the 30 fps range, even when played on M3 max. Such bad optimisation can only be called a "tech demo" and not a game. So I have to state that the "Community-side", speaking of GPTK, is making GREAT progress. A lot of tutorials can be found and a lot of automated porting-processes are being added. CrossOver uses GPTK and new games (like RDR 2 or TLOU Part 2) are being updated and added on a regular basis. GPTK isn´t perfect and still is missing a lot of support for older games like Intel-Mac-Games, DX9 or OpenGL and overall more driver-compatibility, but it's progressing consistently.
In regards of performance boosts, the Apple-Silicon games catalogue and devices (as example a gaming-optimised Mac mini or Apple TV) it was quite disappointing. I ported games like Portal 2, Half-life 2, Dishonored, Thief 2 or Stalker directly with GPTK and it took me a day to make it a Mac-application. The needed resources of this games are minimal so its not a big deal to port them. The selection of games could be expanded quite easily but is being hidden behind the DIY-Solution. To use the full potential of GPTK, I would hope to see more cooperation between Apple and Developers to streamline the process of releases.
I’m hopeful that future GPTK update will finally make older games like Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Athena, GTA IV, Wolfenstein II, or The Witcher 3 install and run properly.
Sorry for no sound: forgot to turn on manually. But in this case (Performance test) it isn´t needed. Leave a comment.

🧠 Terms Explained
1. Frame Generation
AI (Artificial Intelligence) adds extra frames between real ones to make gameplay look smoother.
It increases performance, but the added frames are “guesses,” so it’s not always accurate.
2. Upscaling
AI takes a lower-resolution image and guesses displays it at a higher resolution.
Faster performance, but reduced clarity compared to native resolution.
3. Game Porting Toolkit (GPTK)
Apple’s tool to run Windows games on Macs.
Since Macs use ARM chips (which combine all PC-parts like CPU, Ram, GPU, etc.), Windows games need to be translated.
„Metal“ is Apple’s graphics-Application (Programm) used for this translation.
4. Screen Tearing
When parts of different frames appear on screen at the same time — usually visible during movement. Looks like „teared apparent“.
5. Vsync (Vertical Sync)
Keeps the game’s framerate in sync with the monitor’s refresh rate (hz) to reduce tearing — like a visual metronome.
