PCSX2 | Asus ROG Ally Z1 (Base Model) 10 Games Tested!

In today's video, I’ll be putting the Asus ROG Ally Z1 (NON-EXTREME) through its paces with the PCSX2 (PS2) emulator. I'll test 10 different games, each showcased for about 3–5 minutes. All the gameplay footage you’ll see was captured at 720p resolution and Native PS2 settings on the device.

While the Asus ROG Ally Z1 can handle higher settings in many titles, I opted to dial things back a bit to ensure stable framerates throughout the testing. That said, a few games saw frame drops into the 50s, but it was nothing major. Considering how affordable this device is—whether on sale or secondhand—it’s genuinely one of the best handheld gaming investments of 2025!
