I love growing different unusual fruits and vegetables, so much so I even give talks on some of the weird things I've grown. And the Achocha is up there as one of the weirdest, but also one of the easiest! In fact, it is almost a little too easy to grow!
Hundreds of fruits are produced every year with very little effort, more effort is put into controlling it's growth than anything else! But these spiky fruits are tasty and prolific.
I'd love to know your favourite unusual fruit or vegetable to grow! I have three talks on the subjects and I'm always looking for more things to try in my garden.
