My mindset used to be..
Heavier is BETTER.
Faster is BETTER.
Intensity over everything.
And while challenging yourself to grow and pushing your intensity is incredibly important in your training - what’s more important is ensuring you’re doing the exercise properly and the right muscle groups are actually working effectively. Not only is this going to improve your desired results but also help you avoid injury so you’re not forced to take an unwanted time out.
I’ve seen more change in my body in the last 2 years switching my focus to proper form & ensuring my engagement is on point ALONGSIDE my intensity in my workouts than I ever did in my first 3 years of training neglecting those things and just bringing the heat.
