The Jansen, established in 2015, stands as a pioneering punk-rock band with a unique origin story. The band derived its name from "Hey Jansen," a song originally performed by The Kuda, a fellow punk-rock group from Bogor.

Comprising four talented members, The Jansen features Cintarama Bani Satria, who takes on the roles of lead vocalist and guitarist, while Adji Pamungkas handles the bass and Nina Karina, who joined the band in 2022, adds her vocal and guitar talents. Hailing from Bogor, their musical roots trace back to vintage punk bands from the 1970s, including influential names like The Undertones, Ramones, Wire, and other bands with a similar style, such as 'Killed by Death' and peers within the genre.
