Yeah, this one is a month old ... we logged this trail on 12/27/25, and I'm just now posting it. (I'm so far behind on editing ... computer issues and time! LOL!) What are those barrels?
The barrels on the cable in the Tamaroo Bar Trail are remnants of a project that was intended to be strung across the canyon to prevent boats from reaching the dam. Since the dam was never built, these barrels are now hanging with trees growing through them, marking the site of an abandoned project.

Get outside with the Original Muddypaw - Made in the USA, meandering in Northern California. I've been the Original Muddypaw for lo these many years (40+!) and love getting outside for walks, day hikes, exploring, and magnet fishing. I spent decades as a dog trainer (trainer of people to train their dogs) and I love animals of all shapes and sizes ... however, I have no urgent desire to be chased by one in the woods! My goal is to bring the outdoors in for those of you who can't/don't get outside much and to keep it family-friendly.
