Walmart’s Lunch Napper Tries to Run — HUGE FAIL

On November 8th, loss prevention at Walmart reported a shoplifting incident involving two deli items concealed in a backpack and taken without payment. Surveillance footage was reviewed and a still image of the suspect was shared with the shift. A short time later, an officer saw someone matching the description and made contact.

According to the report, the individual took off running when asked about the contents of his backpack. He was quickly brought to the ground as another officer arrived, giving repeated commands to stop resisting. Loss prevention was brought to the scene and made a positive identification. A search of the backpack revealed a wrapper for a turkey sandwich and a chicken salad, totaling $10.91.

The individual was transported to the county jail and booked on petit theft and resisting without violence.
