Leslie Gulch is a remote canyon in Eastern Oregon, not far from the Idaho border. Formerly called Dugout Gulch, the name was later changed in honor of Hiram Leslie, who died by lightning there in 1882.
Several smaller gulches branch off from the main gulch; some of them include trails you can hike on... like Timber Gulch, Juniper Gulch, and Dago Gulch trails, which are included in this video. Plus, we hiked on another little trail behind our campsite, and I don't know what it's called, so I just called it the Slocum creek trail because it's between the Slocum creek campground and Slocum creek wilderness study area. Worth the drive to Leslie Gulch if you live in nearby towns like Jordan Valley, Marsing, Ontario, Adrian, or somewhere in the Boise area.
