Financial Inclusion Camp on Return of Unclaimed Deposit at bank held at State Bank of India, Bomdila Branch premises, Bomdila

As part of the nationwide financial awareness campaign "AapkiPoonji, Aapka Adhikar" - 'Your Money, Your Right', launched by the Hon'ble Finance Minister on October 04, 2025, a Financial Literacy programme was held at State Bank of India,Bomdila branch premises, Bomdila on November 28, 2025. The aim of the camp was to make common people aware about the procedure for facilitating return of unclaimed bank deposits to rightful claimants and to ensure timely settlement of eligible claims from the Depositor Education and Awareness (DEA) Fund. The programme was organized by Lead District Manager, SBI, West Kameng district. General Manager, RBI Itanagar, Manager, RBI Itanagar, Chief Managers of SBI, Bomdila Branch, Branch Manager of SBI, Tenga valley and Rupa branch also attended the campaign. From other bank, the Branch manager, Central Bank of India, Bomdila Branch also participated in the camp.
Speaking on the occasions, Mr. Abhijit Majumdar, GM, RBI Itanagar explained in detail about the procedure on return of unclaimed deposits to rightfulclaimants. He advised the common people to visit the RBI's UDGAM portal and register with name and mobile number and then search for the unclaimed depositby giving the name of the account holder, bank name and date of birth and thereafter submit the necessary KYC documents for identification, such as PAN, driving license, passport, or voter ID.along with a claim form with the bank branch, for settlement of funds
