Even though I've listened to Bad Religion for a million years, this is my first foray into actually trying to learn some Brian Baker solos. And holy crap, it was a challenge. He loves these quick triplet hammer ons and pull offs that my fingers aren't very well suited for. And he adds a ton of style by throwing in an odd note on a familiar scale. Or just bending the living crap out of notes. Check out the middle of Parallel for that warbly bending style that he throws onto many songs. It's so cool!
A lot of these were super fun to play once I got them down. Streets of America was my personal favorite, with that NASTY descending scale that is just oozing with stank. The third part of Cease has a bunch of pinch harmonics, which I am admittedly a sucker for. And Ten in 2010 was the toughest one of them all. I actually learned that song first. I figured if I could get that down, I could try the rest of the album.
