Introducing ProLabs

ProLabs is a brand of cost effective computer accessories and components, those products are offered to resellers and service providers' communities across the whole of Europe if not the world. There are many analogies to explain what products ProLabs sell but it's basically the plumbing pieces of the network, like cabling, optical transceivers, memory upgrades, CAT patch panels, capanets, power supplies, it's all the little pieces that go together in delivering the final piece of connectivity. But ProLabs do not only focus on optical transceivers, memory and cable, they found that many of the well-known manufacturers (Cisco, HP,...) would go to a tier of original component manufacturers and in many cases, people like Cisco and HP don't manufacture their memory, they're not specialists in memory so they go to the usual suspects out there in the market place, and all ProLabs has done is track who those manufacturers are, go to those manufacturers and offer the marketplace a huge cost saving compared to the branded services, solutions and products they get from the OAM manufacturers like Cisco. ProLabs found that they can expand the whole product base across just not normal memory upgrades and optical transceivers and cabling, but across a whole plethora of products where the OAM manufacturers are doing it.
Offering these products so much cheaper is very popular, especially in the data centre space where infrastructure costs, while they try to keep them to a minimum, obviously looking for a quicker return of investment, ProLabs actually sell their products to some of the largest tel-co organizations in the world, and we're also offering the resellers a better margin opportunity, if you like, so when they're actually delivering overall solutions to their customer, in many cases with Cisco or HP, they're making 3-5% margin with the ProLabs products that help boost the individual margin up to 40-50% and the overall margin to say 15-20% again, giving them back a bit of profitability.
