How to Fix a Bent Hi Hat Rod

I picked up a used drum kit for a student of mine and decided to fix a few minor things before delivery, including straightening the bent hi hat rod. This seems to be a hallmark of used drums sets and here's how to fix it! Of course, most people may not have access to a metal lathe, so using a drill press would be the next best thing.
