Russell Hurlburt is a psychology professor at the University of Nevada and he has been studying this for more than 40 years.

According to Hulburt’s research There are 5 main ways of thinking:
• Inner speaking/ inner monologue
• Inner seeing/ visual imagery
• Feelings
• Unsymbolized thinking
• Sensory awareness
