Sparring with Highland Broadswords. Also known as Claymores. These training swords weigh approx 1.3kg, an accurate size, weight and style for 18th century Scots broadswords.
We are fighting on freshly cut wet grass, uneven ground beneath, and light drizzle, as well as fading light (the camera managed to make it look lighter than it was!).
We study from the Roworth/Angelo texts, a unified system for Broadsword, sabre and spadroon, intended for military swordsmanship.
