O brothers, in your delusion do not forget. O comrade, don’t forget! Listen to these words,
The body is like a hut, a burial pyre of flesh, o brothers, don’t forget.. ..1

O beings; The body is filthy and smelly, the body is always so dirty,
The body deteriorates and rots, the body stinks like rubbish.. ..2

O beings; How will you ever wash it clean? The body can never be pure,
The nine doors are obvious, inside them filth accumulates.. ..5

O beings; The body is lame, deaf, unworthy, diseased with blindness and leprosy,
Satgur Noor says: such is the body’s link to you.. ..6

O beings; If the body lies inert it is eaten by ants, if it is burned it turns into ash,
Stripped naked and left in the bushes, all the jungle’s beasts feast on it.. ..7

O beings; Those who keep saying I am (the body), they are trying to see in darkness,
The eyes of their heart never open, they are doomed with evil thoughts.. ..10

O beings; Get detached from this smelly body, purge it of all poison and filth,
Just as a snake sheds its skin, so too detach yourself from the body.. ..14

O beings; Incomparable are the body and Spirit, the Soul which is limitless!
Whereas the stinking body in impure, the Spirit is always immaculate and pure.. ..15

O beings; The Soul’s place is with Brahma (the Prophetic Light), the body’s place is under grass and swamp,

Eji Shukar kahiye taatnu(n)
shoñit maata ni hoy
upaj eni vichaarta

Eji Tene tu(n) dhoish kem kari
Kaa(n)i shudh nav thaay
nav duvaar nit choove

Eji Kaaya looli baheri paa(n)gali
kodhi kooshti ne a(n)dh

Eji Padi rahe to keeda pade

Eji Dehine je “hu(n) hu(n)” kari maanta
Te to dekhita andh
Reedehni aa(n)khu(n) nathi ughadiyu(n)
Tene laago chhe dhoo(n)dh.. ..Bhaaiyo..10

Eji Be be lochan sarvne
Vidya lochan trañ
Sapat lochan dharam naa
Jooe vichaari jan.. ..Bhaaiyo..11

Eji Laakh lochan chhe gnaan-naa
Jenu(n) vaar na paar
Aatma tatvne je olkhe
Te chhe saar-maa(n)-saar.. ..Bhaaiyo..12

Eji Tatv ginaani trañ lokmaa(n)
Samje koik sant
Teni drasti saghle fare
Teni aa(n)khu anant.. ..Bhaaiyo..13

Eji Gandi dehithi alga raho
Kaadhi naa(n)kho-ni kaahaar
Jem sarapni kaa(n)chli
Dehithi algi thaay.. ..Bhaaiyo..14

Eji Kyaa(n)ni dehi kyaa(n)no aatma
Jenu(n) vaar na paar
Gandi dehi ashudh chhe
Aatma chhe sudh saar.. ..Bhaaiyo..15

Eji Aatma nirgooñ Brahm chhe
Dehi chhe tarla ne ghaas
Noor Satgur boliya
