Thepla is a very famous Gujarati breakfast. Thepla is savory flatbread made of multigrain flour (Wheat, Millet flour, Besan), Fenugreek leaves, Coriander leaves, spices. Thepla is very easy to make, it’s not only flavourful, but also very healthy. You can eat for breakfast, for lunch or dinner. It is kind of finger food that is ideal for snacking.
Ingredients for making Thepla Dough
Wheat Flour: 2 and 1/2 Cup
Bajri Flour (Pearl Millet Flour): 1/2 Cup
Besan (Gram Flour): 1/4 Cup
Methi leaves (Fenugreek leaves): 1 Cup
(Washed and finely chopped)
Coriander leaves (Cilantro leaves): 1 Cup
(Washed and finely chopped)
Ginger paste: 1 Tsp
Green Chili paste: 1 Tsp
Garlic paste: 2 Tsp
Hing (Asafoetida): 1/4 Tsp
Salt: 1 and 1/2 Tsp or as per taste
Haldi (Turmeric powder): 1/2 Tsp
Dhaniya Jeera (Coriander Cumin) powder: 1 Tsp
Sesame Seeds: 1 and 1/2 Tsp
Achar masala/Pickle masala: 1 and 1/2 Tsp
Coarse Jeera (Cumin): 1/2 Tsp
Oil: 2 Tsp
