The atmosphere was moody and serene – soft rain falling, ships resting in the harbor, and the sea stretching endlessly under grey skies. I walked along the wooden pier and down to a small, hidden beach nearby, capturing the rhythm of the rain and the stillness of the port.
Unlike the historic Mandraki harbor, this is Rhodes’ working port – where ferries come and go, trucks load goods, and the real pulse of island life beats. Today, though, it rests under rain.
