Welcome back to Stitch & Spindle with Waihipi where fibre, colour, and ADHD crafting chaos all get to shine.
This episode was meant to be a simple Dartmoor Dye Day… and instead turned into a gloriously colourful adventure in the Waihipi dye shed on Waiheke Island, Aotearoa.
We start with four pots:
• ✔️ Red / Magenta
• ✔️ Yellow
• ✔️ What was supposed to be Blue (…but it’s very green)
• ✔️ Another actually-green pot
Somewhere between stirring fibre and chasing a project squirrel, Cher declares that the harakeke (New Zealand flax) outside might dye the rest of the wool. That experiment becomes tomorrow’s mission, but today we celebrate the joy of unexpected colour, tiny-house crafting, and neurodivergent making.
