F80 M3 S55 DCT Oil Top Off Procedure (Do this after the CSF DCT Cooler Upgrade!)

** Important note, the torque is 25 NM not FT/LB

Hey Everyone,

In today's vide, we'll review the F80/F82/F87 DCT Oil Top off procedure. As you'll notice, we didn't spill enough to even need to top it off, but if you spilled a little more than we did, you may need to.

If you've already done this job, here are the steps to top off the oil:

Stand vehicle on a level surface and secure against rolling off.

Open fluid adjusting bolt (1). If fluid emerges, close bolt again immediately

If no fluid emerges, top up until fluid emerges and close fluid adjusting bolt (1) again

Note: If fluid has been replenished here, a further refill must be carried out during the actual fluid adjustment

Connect diagnosis system and start service functions (drive).
Start engine (drive position N or P)
Record transmission temperature using the diagnosis system
(Drive position P) Permissible starting temperature ≤ 32 °C
Idle speed: maintain at approx. 2000 rpm for 1 minute.
Open fluid adjusting bolt (1)
Fill until oil emerges. Max. transmission oil temperature 40 °C
Insert bolt 25 NM
