Another Northamptonshire area GTG 5/8/23, kindly hosted by Pete and Ju.
Quite a damp day sadly but trains ran and cake was eaten. A good day nonetheless, enjoyed by all who attended 😊
These live steam and electric locomotives are mostly spirit (meths) fired. Some use butane gas through a ceramic burner to generate the steam. They have working lubricators adding oil to the steam going to the cylinders.
Most have 2 working cylinders but the Project has only 1 central cylinder. A couple of these wonderful machines have 3 or 4 working cylinders. A lot of parts to engineer into a small space.
