Soolhanjan collaborated with the Mowall Distillery for Episode 8. Being located in Wonju City of the Gangwon-do Province at the base of the Chiak-san Mountains, the distillery is somewhat isolated but sits at the heart of the Korean countryside. The owner, Kim Won Ho, has been running the distillery for around 10+ years and puts his pride and focus on distilled sojus, offering a wide array of Sools from sour yakjus to more affordable distillates, like This Is Soju and Narang Soju. From there, he works his way up the ABV ladder, teasing the palate with 50 proof sweet potato and rice sojus before going full throttle with some quality stronger options, including an 82 proof rice soju and beautiful grain whiskey that’ll gain the respect of any whiskey connoisseur out there. His adopted family of cats, as seen in the previously-released clip, is absolutely adorable in person, so whether it’s for a tasting, a class, or a friendly visit, you’ll want to venture out there and pay him and his team a visit.
