Red River United and Caddo Parish Schools hosted the 19th Annual Most Improved Student Celebration and the 3rd Annual It Pays to Be Kind Awards in an evening dedicated to recognizing growth, transformation, and the power of kindness.
This celebration honored students who made remarkable strides in their academic and personal journeys, as well as those who lead with compassion and kindness every day. These are the changemakers, the resilient, and the kind-hearted—students who are making a difference in their schools and communities.
We also recognized the Trailblazing Team of the Year- Huntington High School Girls' Basketball Team. These girls, led by head coach Brian Shine, persevered throughout the entire season to bring home the school's FIRST EVER girls' state championship!
A special thank you to Kasie Mainiero, Child Well-Being Specialist, for serving as our keynote speaker, and District 12 Caddo Parish School Board Member Dottie Bell for helping recognize our It Pays to Be Kind winners.
We would also like to extend our gratitude to Captain Shreve Principal Bryant Sepulvado for serving as our host school as well as CPSB President Jasmine Green, CPSB Member Mary Trammel, CPSB administration, teachers, school employees, families, and friends for showing up to honor these deserving students.
