6 Tips to have an Awesome Sprint Planning Meeting

We are doing Scrum because we aim to practice empiricism and empiricism says, no matter how much time you spend predicting the future, you would fail. Your ability to succeed in a VUCA world depends on how efficiently & effectively you are able to learn & adapt. Hence, the sprint plan is something that evolves, emerges as and when the sprint is executed, with a clear and focused sprint goal, which is always constant and is non emergent (except for exceptional situations)
There are a few things that you must do and there are a few things that can hinder the effectiveness of the event, and it’s important to avoid doing these things. These things are:
1. Start the Sprint Planning with the feedback from the previous Sprint review
2. Come up with a clear and achievable Sprint Goal.
3. Have an Agenda for the Sprint Planning meeting
4. Team participation
5. Prioritize the work
6. Incorporate learnings from previous sprint(s)
