What started as a simple board replacement quickly turned into a full tear-down after discovering a much larger issue. Watch us strip out the old, failed wood and reveal the nasty surprise behind the transom.

Show you what's left of the old, low-quality transom material.
Discuss our plan to rebuild it using strong materials, specifically oak boards and plywood, to bridge the large gap.
Fix the structure the right way—re-riveting and re-screwing—after finding the previous patch was held together with just "nails, screws, and glue".
Give a final look at the new wood structure, which we'll soak in mineral oil for maximum durability.
