Players begin by selecting one of eight licensed male tennis pros. These include:

The tournament format consists of five matches, each on a different surface. Courts alternate between hard, grass, clay, and carpet depending on the draw.

Players use two buttons: one for standard shots and one for lobs. Timing and positioning affect the outcome of each stroke. Power shots come from fully charged swings. Directional input allows precise control of shot angle and court coverage.

Serving uses a two-tap system. The first tap initiates the toss, and the second tap determines power and placement. A successful serve can result in aces, especially when angled or directed to the backhand side.
Timing affects shot effectiveness. Late or early hits reduce shot accuracy and power. Player movement includes sprinting to reach shots and diving to retrieve balls. Players can also move forward for net play. Each match takes place on one of five different court surfaces, including hard, clay, grass, and carpet. The ball behaves differently depending on the surface. Speed and bounce vary.

Each match is one set only, and difficulty increases with each round. Opponents become more aggressive and precise in shot selection and positioning.
