Funding to replace Rowlett’s Outdoor Warning Siren System was approved by Rowlett voters under the 2021 CIP Bond Election. These two sirens of the project are located at Pecan Grove and Springfield Parks.
Our Mayor was able to join us at the first installation at Pecan Grove Park. “We appreciate the community for voting to approve the Outdoor Warning Siren project in 2021. These new sirens will increase coverage throughout the city and some will even be equipped with weather stations and PTZ cameras for monitoring in the Emergency Operations Center during severe weather events…” said Mayor Blake Margolis.
