Opelika, Alabama - Driving Tour [4K]

A tour of Opelika, Alabama on a beautiful late winter morning. The video starts along US 431, known as Fox Run and Lafayette Parkway, and follows it in both directions along the edge of town before turning onto Columbus Parkway and meandering our way downtown before showcasing local streets. The video ends along Pepperell Parkway right before the intersection with US 280 and Auburn's city limits.

Opelika (pronounced Oh-puh-LIE-kuh), the county seat of Lee County, is a city located in east-central Alabama directly adjacent to Auburn and 27 miles northwest of Columbus, Georgia. The city was first settled in 1832 and its name translates to "large swamp", though there are no swamps of note in the area. As of the 2020 Census, Opelika recorded a population of 30,995 -- an increase from 26,477 in 2010.
