Ingredients (Serves 2)
Base
• Tinned chickpeas: 1 can (400 g drained | 240 g cooked)
• Oil: 1 tbsp | 3 tsp |
• Onion: 1 medium (120 g)
• Garlic: 2 tsp | 8 g
• Tin tomatoes: 400 g
• Tomato purée: 1 tbsp | 15 g
• Water: 150 ml | ½ cup UK | ⅔ cup US
Spices
• Curry powder: 1 tbsp | 12 g of choice
• Paprika: 1 tsp | 4 g
• Cumin: 1 tsp | 4 g
• Turmeric: ½ tsp | 2 g
• Salt: 1 tsp
• Sugar: ½ tsp
• Chili powder or flakes: ½ tsp (optional)
Finish
• Lemon juice: 1 tsp | 5 ml
• Coriander (optional)
Naan
Ingredients
• Self-raising flour: 200-220 g | 1⅔ cups UK | 1½ cups US
• Plain yoghurt: 200 g | ¾ cup UK | ¾ cup US
• Salt: ½ tsp
• Kalonji: pinch or known as Nigella seeds too!
• Optional: 1 tbsp oil/butter for softness
