Acclaimed poet, hip-hop musician, producer, actor and director Saul Williams performed at the Sundance ASCAP Music Café as part of a 25th anniversary celebration of the Sundance Grand Jury Award-winning film Slam, which starred Williams early in his career.

Williams has performed across the globe and collaborated with artists ranging from Nas and Erykah Badu to Allen Ginsberg and Tanya Tagaq. His music crosses the genres of hip-hop, punk, acid house and rock, charged with social and political commentary. He recently released his directorial debut Neptune Frost, an “exhilarating Afrofuturist musical,” which has been praised as a “dazzlingly inventive drama” (The Guardian).
