The crews apart of the aviation element from various contractors conducting water-bombing operations during the 2025 Los Angeles wild fires have done a fantastic and heroic job in serving the community and doing the best they can to save lives and property.
U.S. Air Force reserves and various Air National Guard units operating the Lockheed Martin C-130 Hercules aircraft with the Modular Airborne Fire Fighting System (MAFFS) are now supporting Cal Fire deploying to L.A. to assist the assets in the air and on the ground.
In this video we see how the MAFFS module is installed for firefighting operations in L.A. and ride onboard with the California Air National Guard's MAFFS #6 C-130J supporting firefighting efforts against Palisades Fire.
