Ian Pooley (born December 29, 1973, in Mainz) is a German house DJ and producer known for music influenced by Detroit Techno, with elements of House, Tech House, and Brazilian sounds. Over his career, Pooley has released on various influential labels, including his own Pooledmusic, and has played major clubs and festivals worldwide. 
Pooley's music spans House, Tech House, and techno, often incorporating Brazilian rhythms.
His sound is rooted in Detroit Techno, but his work has also featured elements from jazz, soul, and Krautrock.
He has also released minimal techno under his Silvershower alias on labels like Plus8 and his own Montage label.
