For the first time, we filmed a few sessions in London featuring Lebanese artists.
But this was the second time we filmed a session with Omar.
The first time was in Beirut's largest cathedral during the summer of 2022. This time was also in a church, but in London and in the midst of a war back home. Omar's rendition of "Li Beirut" will strike a chord with anyone who knows Fairouz's iconic 1984 tune, a solemn anthem from the height of Lebanon's civil war.
