Sufjan Stevens Red Rocks July 18 2016 Seven Swans. Hands down the best concert I've ever been to. I've seen Sufjan multiple times and the energy he brought to this show was beyond compare. He never stopped smiling and for that matter nearly never stopped dancing, within moments of the beginning of the very first song, Seven Swans, Sufjan showed us that we were all in for stunning show, the costumes, the lights and the music combined to create a once in a lifetime even that won't soon be forgotten. Sufjan is a prolific, genuine and unique musical genius, most geniuses are anywhere from a few years to a few decades ahead of the curve and Sufjan is no exception. Most folks I saw were floating out of the amphitheatre with a grin from ear to ear with a look of total bliss on their faces, knowing that they were given a rare gift, a pure and joyous performance by a man who will be remembered in the same vein as Elton John, David Bowie, Neil Young and Frank Zappa.
