ASELSAN Precision Optical Incorporated Company started production in 2016 with the partnership of ASELSAN and the private sector for the domestic and national production of optical products used and imported in the defense industry of our country.
In addition to optical components, it still continues mass production of electro-optic devices, especially rifle binoculars, night vision binoculars and thermal weapon scopes.
Since its establishment, it has nationalized more than two hundred optical units and mass-produced 37 different electro-optical devices.
Established in Sivas, ASELSAN Precision Optic contributes to regional development as well as contributing to the economy of our country with its localization and nationalization efforts. It supports the development of local suppliers and guides existing businesses and new entrepreneurs to make qualified, sustainable and high value-added investments and production in order to provide materials and services provided from outside in the production processes from Sivas.
In this context, it pioneered the establishment of Sivas Defense Industry and Advanced Technology Manufacturers Association as the first step of clustering with the vision of transforming Sivas into an "Optical Valley" and still provides qualified employment of 750 people with its suppliers.
In addition to the 7500 m2 closed production facility established on an area of 30,000 m2, there is a 750 m2 closed R&D facility in Sivas Cumhuriyet University Techno City region and a design office in Ankara.
25,000 infantry day vision binoculars, 30,000 night vision binoculars, 25,000 reflex sights, 1500 sniper binoculars, nearly 2750 highly sensitive continuous focus thermal camera lenses were produced and delivered to our National Rifles, and they were delivered to our National Security Management Systems. 10 different products are produced, including wide angle.
In addition to the product development and mass production processes of Aselsan designed electro-optic devices, within a short period of 1 year within the scope of electro-optical device design activities, the pistol reflex sight family was developed jointly with Samsun Yurt Savunma, and with the project developed jointly with FNSS. the vehicle periscope family and the holographic reflex sight products designed by Aselsan Sivas have reached the mass production stage.
Aselsan Sivas established its R&D Center in 2019 and registered its production with superior quality and standards with AS9100 Aerospace Industry Quality Certificate, NATO and National Facility Security Certificate, TSE COVID-19 Safe Production Certificate.
