I have a 2015 F-150 Lariat 5.0L that starts up and idles normally most of the time, then out of nowhere begins to run roughly with RPMs dropping and feeling like it's about to stall. Most of the time, the rough idle is nothing more than a rough idle, but occasionally the rough idle turns into a stall. This same low idle/near stall occurs at stoplights, waiting for turns, drive through, and sometimes driving under 5 mph. This rough idle/stall is inconsistent and unpredictable. Sometimes I can drive for 2 days, hardly feeling the rough idle or experiencing any stalls. Sometimes it stalls twice in under a minute, like at a drive through or a light. Sometimes it idles roughly before it stalls, and sometimes it stalls the moment the truck comes to a complete stop.
If you are having similar problems, you should consider changing the Purge Valve, which you can purchase here: https://ebay.us/v1au3L
That being said, I have spent some time researching the truck issue, and replacing the Purge Valve did solve the problem for some people with similar truck issues. However, it did NOT solve the problem with my truck. So, keep that in mind; replacing the purge valve may or may not solve the issue for you.
It may be too early to say because it has only been a couple of days, but what eventually fixed the problem for me was changing the Fuel Pump Driver Module/Fuel Pump Controller. I have not experienced rough idling or stalling for 3 days.
