Cape Town to Robben Island - MSFS 2020 - South African Tour - Leg 1

Robben Island, located off the coast of Cape Town, South Africa, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its historical significance as a former prison. For centuries, it served various roles—including a leper colony and military base—but is most famously known for incarcerating political prisoners during apartheid, including Nelson Mandela, who spent 18 of his 27 years in captivity there. The island symbolizes the triumph of the human spirit over oppression and injustice. Today, it operates as a museum and memorial, offering guided tours that preserve the legacy of those who fought for freedom and equality in South Africa.

I begin this tour of South Africa in iconic style as I depart Cape Town in the BN2 Islander, taking you round Table Mountain before arriving on Robben Island.
